This page details the records and statistics of the FIFA Club World Cup. The FIFA Club World Cup is a seasonal association football competition that was established in the year 2000. It begins at the beginnings of December and end around the middle of that same month. The FIFA Club World Cup is open to the confederation champions of FIFA member associations as well as the host nation's national league champions; clubs from Europe and South America enter the competition at the semifinal stage. The tournament is contested over a single-elimination format, with four stages in total. The reigning champions of the competition are Brazilian club Corinthians, after beating English side Chelsea 1–0 at the final. Corinthians were also the inaugural winners, after defeating compatriots Vasco da Gama 3-4 on penalties.

General performancesEdit

Barcelona have the record of appearing in the most finals, with three appearances in 2006, 2009 and 2011. The Culés also carry the all-time historical best statistics in points with 15.
Corinthians is the only club to have appeared in more than one final and have a flawless record, winning the 2000 and 2012 editions. The Timão is also the only world champion that qualified to the Club World Cup by merit of being the host nation's national champions.
TP Mazembe became the first, and so far only, non-European and non-South American club to reach the final. Les Corbeaux accomplished this feat in 2010 when they defeated Internacional.
São Paulo is the most successful city of the competition, owing its three titles to local outfits Corinthians (2000, 2012} and São Paulo (2005).
Milan, along with São Paulo, are the only cities which had had more than one representative win the FIFA Club World Cup. They are also the only cities whose representatives are undefeated.
Brazil's Brasileirão is the most strongest national league of the competition with four titles to its name.
Italy's Serie A remains the only undefeated national league which has had representatives carry the world title.
The Union Européenne de Football Association, or simply UEFA, is the most successful confederation of the competition with five titles.
Pachuca is CONCACAF's most habitual participant in the FIFA Club World Cup with three appearances in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
Al Ahly SC is the record-holder of the most participant club of the competition with four appearances in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2012.
